The Mind: the Curse and the Cure
The mind is the cure and the curse depending on how one utilises this very powerful tool. Pure compassionate awareness (mindfulness) can be used to allow one to reach homeostasis more rapidly, a sign of high resilience, while a judging mind could prolong states of agony. Positive thoughts can trigger positive emotions that enhance wellbeing. Negative unmanaged rumination and negative thoughts could drain one from energy and gradually deteriorate wellbeing.
